這項發明改善了傳統自動門的兩大問題:
1. 只有當使用者從垂直方向走進門才會開啟。
2. 會偵測使用者接近的速度與距離，調整開門的速度與時間。
門上裝有三維雷射掃描感測器，用來判斷使用者的位置與行為並進行預測，一扇門大約會增加1000美元的價格，但是之後的邊際效益則不只1000美元。
