The EMTRC is committed to the belief that appropriate intellectual properties are extremely useful resource for either accelerating and maximizing research efficiency or development of innovative technologies. A dormant IP is as good as an unrefined raw material.
In order to effectively activate the intellectual properties of several research achievements of motor related technologies in Taiwan, the "Motors Intelligence Alliance" was founded in 2017. This alliance is an implementation mechanism for reciprocal and mutually beneficial motor-intelligence sharing between academia and industry. With the Open IP concept, this positive cycle has driven the activation of several intellectual properties, the promotion of motor-related knowledge and technology, and the positive cooperation of the alliance’s members. Since its creation, 29 companies have joined the alliance including China Steel Corporation.
