Some comments for further discussions.
(1) Squarewave magnetization and sinusoidal magnetization of PM are common design for the BLDC motors, it has to do with the basic design of PM.
(2) Due to torque conversion efficiency consideration, squarewave BLDC motors have better torque conversion efficiency than the sinusoidal ones.
(3) Conventional 6-steps driving circuits can be easily used for the squarewave type. But, the sinusoidal BLDC motors have to be driven by d-q aixs vectorized control.
(4) since cogging torque and ripple torque are smaller in sinusoidal type BLDC motros, it is better to use these motors for precision position control.
