Application of Additive Manufacturing for Low Torque Ripple of 64 Switched Reluctance Motor

摘要 This paper presents a novel design for switched reluctance motors characterized by the reduction of torque ripple and windage loss. An asymmetric rotor skew structure is proposed to decrease the torque ripple and investigated by both 2D and 3D finite element analysis (FEA) simulations. Moreover, the prototype is constructed by additive manufacturing (namely 3D printing); thus, the performance of the proposed design is verified.
